Jim is a 41-year veteran of the financial services industry, and is the founder of Rogers Group Financial. He is a past two term Chair of the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CAIFA), now known as Advocis.
Jim’s community involvements have been extensive, including service on the Senate of UBC, the Boards of St. Paul’s Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation, Vancouver College, St. Mark’s College, the UBC Alumni Association, United Way, and the Vancouver Foundation.
In addition to Canuck Place Children's Hospice, Jim sits on the Boards of, or is an advisor to, The Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada and Rogers Group Financial.

Patricia Evans & Associates Inc.
In May, 2005, Patricia Evans joined the Board of Directors of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. She is a past director and former executive of many boards and volunteer organizations ranging from SPARC (the Social Planning and Research Council of British Columbia), Information Services Vancouver, the West Coast Women's Network, to the Health Care Public Relations Association (Canada).
Patricia Evans is a facilitator and consultant with more than 30 years experience in the health care and communications industries. She is the former Vice President & Senior Advisor to the President of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research where, as one of the founding staff team, she designed and implemented new programs and initiatives to further the non-profit agency’s leadership in building BC’s capacity for health research. She has also served in various roles at the Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of British Columbia (C&W), including Director of Public Affairs & Communications. Patricia has won several local and regional awards for excellence in communication and writing and is a published author.
She holds a BA (Applied Sciences) and a Certificate in Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University, and an MCE (Master of Continuing Education, Workplace Learning) from the University of Calgary. Patricia is also a graduate of the Foundation Program in Management for Women (Simon Fraser University), and a past participant in the Governor General’s Canadian Study Conference and Leadership Vancouver programs.

David Yan
League Assets Corp.
David Yan is the Vice President of Member Services for League Assets Corp., a real estate investment firm focused on assisting their investors with intergenerational wealth. Prior to this, David had spent over 20 years in the financial services industry, most recently as the Regional Vice-President for TD Waterhouse Private Client Services managing a team of Wealth professionals with specialized expertise in the areas of private banking, investment management, insurance and estate planning.
David was born and raised in Vancouver and is a graduate of UBC with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. As Chair of the TD Bank Dunk Tank Event for the past six years, he has helped raise close to $500,000 for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. David resides in Richmond with his wife Clara and their two children, Jacqueline and Tyler.
