Need to Find a Special Book, DVD or AudioBook?
Find it at Your Library!
Through the Canuck Place Library and Schoolroom, the staff and volunteers at Canuck Place try to make sure you and your family can find information, comfort and inspiration in the form of books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks.
Please feel free to use these resources. They are for you.
However, you may be looking for more or different materials or perhaps you are looking for resources that you can use at home. Through the British Columbia Library Association and the BC Public Library Services Branch, you can access any library collection in British Columbia two ways:
1. Going to any public library’s website through the BC Libraries’ Libraries Without Walls www.bclibrary.ca/home/bc-libraries/copy_of_bc-libraries
By accessing your local public library website, you have access to all materials by borrowing directly from your local library or by having your library interlibrary loan materials for you.
2. Using Library Online, a collection or union catalogue of all public and academic libraries in B.C. http://bcuc-agent.auto-graphics.com/WelcomePages/SplashPage3.aspx?cid=bcuc&targetLibPK=27093&lid=BVIL2
By using Library Online, you can discover what resources libraries in B.C. have and then ask your local library to get them for you through interlibrary loans.
You will need a library card to borrow materials from a public library.
Don’t have a card? No problem, all public library cards are free in British Columbia. Just sign up at your home library.
- New titles added to our library as of June 1st
