Sad Puppy Story

There once was a little puppy who was very sad because he couldn’t find a home. He kept on walking, looking for food and something to drink. He also kept on walking to find a home.

One day he found a pet store and he went inside. He said to himself, “It’s like a dream.” He started opening bags of dog food and then he found a bed to sleep on. It was too noisy so he went and looked for another bed.

It was late at night. There was a black cat roaming the streets, so the puppy went to chase it. The puppy turned the corner but it was gone; it had gone to chase a mouse.

He found a big field where there was lots of grass. He started picking grass in his mouth. There were also lots and lots of trees. So he started climbing the trees. And started picking the leaves, and sewing the leaves together with the grass to make a blanket. He started picking more grass. He found a nice bald spot in the grass and started spreading the grass. But it was dark! It was hard to work. And then he curled up on the grass. He put on his blanket and went to sleep.

He woke up in the morning, the birds were chirping. He met this one bird, they started playing together. They started walking and walking and walking. Until the dog finally started talking to the bird. 

He said “I can’t find a home” so the bird said he knows a family that really wants a dog. The dog agreed to go home to the family so the bird and he dog walked to the family. The family was very happy to have a dog. Yay!

Promise to never let you dog off the leash. Especially in the park.
