Canuck Place has teamed with two Abbotsford based organizations to model a “Campus of Care”.   In addition to Canuck Place building a children’s hospice, the Abbotsford Hospice Society will construct an adult hospice, and Matthew’s House will build a long term respite facility for children with chronic illness.

The “Campus of Care” will be conveniently located adjacent to the new Abbotsford Regional Hospital, at 32766 Marshall Road.  The city of Abbotsford generously agreed to a 99-year lease for $10/year. The three organizations will each be able to build on the city-owned property.

The three organizations agree there is a significant potential for collaboration and partnership. While we will operate independently, we share a common interest in looking at ways to cooperate, share some services, and ideally, lower overall costs.

"Canuck Place has helped our family by giving us the rest that we need and being able to still cope with everyday life.  It has helped us to be able to give quality time to other siblings.  It is a wonderful place where we can be with Megan and not have to worry about her care." -
