Inspired by a former teacher who is a milestone Canuck Place volunteer, 12 year old Lauren asked her friends to bring donations to Canuck Place to her birthday party instead of gifts. 

The response was unbelievable as the girls donated $700,. some of it from their own babysitting money.  Lauren's parents offered to match whatever she could raise and as a result $1400 was presented to Canuck Place from the Burian family and friends!

In addition, the girls donated over 50 books to add to the Canuck Place reading corner.  A phenomenal showing of caring and how a community truly is the support behind Canuck Place.  Thank you is hardly enough.
