Jim Robson, bequest supporter, shares his story...
Jim Robson is best known as “the Voice of the Vancouver Canucks”. He broadcasted more than 2,000 NHL games on television and radio between 1970 and his retirement in 1999.
What many people do not know is that Jim has decided to leave a bequest to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in his will. Although he has been a supporter since the beginning, he has just recently informed us that 10 years ago, he included the Hospice as a beneficiary of his estate.“I always thought it was a wonderful place. I was inspired by Brenda Eng and the Griffith Family involvement,” said Jim. He feels that Canuck Place is a place that is close to home and you can see the results of your support. In his words “if there is anything left in the pot, why not put it to good use.”
Jim encourages those doing their estate planning to think about leaving a bequest to Canuck Place or making a donation of any kind.
