Canuck Place welcomes a new partnership with the Timms Investment Team of Dundee Securities Corporation from White Rock! Branch Manager John Timms decided in June to get his team involved in a project to support Canuck Place. After discussing their interests with staff, they chose to set a $30,000 goal to purchase a Mechanical Wheelchair Lift. The lift, to be installed on the east side of the house leading off the covered porch, has a manual lowering system which will provide critical back-up to the electric elevator in the event of a power outage. By providing secondary access to the Hospice, it will also give the children another point of entry to the gardens.  

The Timms Team is inviting their clients to help raise the necessary funds by setting up a Precious Page (see www://tinyurl.com/timmsteam) and by holding a couple of fundraising events. The first event – in recognition of Thanksgiving Day – was a Pumpkin Pie Social October 7th. Thank you to all the great people at the Timms Team for their wonderful support!
