One for the Treasure Chest
When Jaxson, a Canuck Place child, saw everything that Roberto Luongo signs for the children of BC, he was amazed. He understood that the gesture of a signature has a lasting impact in the treasure chest of a child. Jaxson has been a frequent visitor to Canuck Place and Vancouver Canuck games, and through sharing the spotlight of the Canuck Place PSA with Roberto, the two have become good buddies.
Jaxson decided he would give something back to Roberto. He got all dressed up in his goalie pads and mask and had his mom, Jessie, take a picture. Then he printed, signed, and sent it to Roberto, so that he could fill his treasure chest too.
“The Vancouver Canucks have given a lot to my family’s life and to Canuck Place,” said Jaxson. “I am really proud of my job as a Canuck Place ambassador and honoured to be a member of the team telling the story of Canuck Place. I want to thank Roberto because he has really made me feel part of the Canucks family. And that is a good team to be on.”
Thank you to Jaxson and his family for sharing their story and to Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks organization for their ongoing support.
