

BC Government Announces $2.63 Million Grant for Canuck Place
Minister of Children and Family Development [MCFD] Mary Polak made the funding announcement in early November. She later toured Canuck Place and witnessed the tremendous care provided by the staff and volunteers. Read the News Release
“Canuck Place is extremely grateful for this grant that will help us offer necessary care for the child and comfort for families living with life-threatening illnesses. We are proud to partner with the Government of British Columbia and thank them for their continued commitment to our program,” said Filomena Nalewajek, Chief Executive Officer of Canuck Place.
Since 2001, the Ministry of Children and Family Development has provided approximately $7.5 million in funding to Canuck Place with base funding provided by the Ministry of Health Services.
