Canuck Place Celebrates National Hospice Palliative Care Week
National Hospice Palliative Care Week 2010 - May 2nd to May 8th is a 7 day campaign that focuses on raising awareness about hospice palliative care.
As a leader in the delivery of pediatric hospice palliative care, Canuck Place is proud to celebrate, recognize, and share the achievements of hospice palliative care throughout Canada.
The theme for the 2010 week is “Discovering your voice” – an initiative to help people understand what hospice and palliative care is and how it can benefit people.
Canuck Place advocates for the needs and services required for children in British Columbia living with a life-threatening illness and their families. To this end we are striving to meet their needs by increasing our capacity by building a second children’s hospice in Abbotsford and extending more of our program on a regional basis.
