An article An Educational Program in a Pediatric Hospice Setting outlining the educational program in place at Canuck Place Children's Hospice has been published in prestigious The American Journal of Hospice & Palliative Medicine – download a copy [4 pages PDF].

The School Program at Canuck Place is a unique program funded by the provincial government and managed by the Vancouver School Board.   The onsite school allows children receiving care and their siblings to continue their education while at the hospice.

School Teacher Isabel Wood (now retired) has also contributed to the first textbook used in training of the pediatric palliative care – the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Care for Children in 2006.
