Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care is an approach to the well-being of another that involves "meaning-making"

In practical terms, spiritual care involves listening, companioning, paying attention, being willing to be with another person in a way that supports them.

Spiritual care may not necessarily involve any particular religious expression or system, although for some people it naturally will.    In some ways, we might say that everything that happens in a hospice like Canuck Place is an expression of spiritual care.
