- Canuck Place Children’s Hospice has an operating budget of approximately $7.6 million per year.
Approximately 30% of this funding is raised through various initiatives of the Vancouver Canucks via their Canucks for Kids Fund, 25% through federal and provincial grants and the remaining 45% comes from private and public sector donations. - Donations to Canuck Place can be made in three ways:
1) By cheque made payable to Canuck Place and mailed to: 1690 Matthews Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 2T2.
2) By credit card payment over the telephone. Call the Hospice at 604.731.4847 or toll free in BC at 1.877.882.2288

Canuck Place is a Registered Canadian Charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and operates as a Society and a Foundation.
As a Registered Charity, Canuck Place is required to file an annual information return with the CRA, a portion of which is available to the public, and must meet certain requirements of the Income Tax Act concerning expenditures and activities. - Depending upon the situation – in accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency’s guidelines a tax receipt may be issued if “no benefit” was incurred.

- Processing depends upon how you made your donation.
Online donations are immediate – a PDF file of your tax receipt is emailed to you.
Tax receipts for other donations (i.e. those made by mail, via pledge sheets or at events) are available within one month of your donation being received at Canuck Place and are mailed to the address on file.
If you have asked for someone to be notified of your donation, they will also be notified within one month.
Note: ongoing-monthly (HUGS for KIDS) donors will receive a tax receipt at year end. - Please ensure the following information accompanies your donation:
1. The name of the person in whose honour, or memory, the donation is being made.
