MarketPlace IGA presents new van to Canuck Place

On June 4th John MacNichol, VP, Merchandising, from MarketPlace IGA presented the keys to a new wheelchair accessible van to Canuck Place. MarketPlace IGA made a gift of $70,000 to the Hospice to purchase and retrofit a new van. The funds remaining after the purchase will be directed to its ongoing upkeep and maintenance.

Canuck Place is extremely grateful to MarketPlace IGA for their incredible gift. The van will be well used and appreciated for many, many years to come.

Milk Chocolate Almond Bars on sale at London Drugs in support of The Ride for Hope for Canuck Place

During the month of June, milk chocolate almond bars made by Purdy's will be on sale in London Drugs Stores throughout the Lower Mainland in support of the Team Alliance Ride for Hope. All proceeds go to Canuck Place.

The Ride for Hope is one day bike ride from Langley to Hope raising money in support of Canuck Place.

RBC Selects Canuck Place for Regional Signature Program

The Regional Signature Program was developed in 2008 in recognition of the interest RBC employees and clients have in playing a part in supporting local community charities. Local charities throughout BC that have been supported by RBC Foundation funding in the past, were selected by employees and clients to receive an additional $5000 donation. This gift is the first step in developing a two-year integrated community partnership.
