Thank you for committing your time and talent to this year’s Gift of Time gala! To make this event a success we require the support and hard work of over 70 volunteers and we are so grateful that you are joining us. It’s going to be a great evening!
ARRIVAL TIME & FOOD
The Volunteer Room is the “Granville Room” located within the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver’s conference centre level. From the lobby, proceed to the elevators to the left and down the hall from the Honey Salt Restaurant, and select the conference/ballroom level in the elevator. You can then proceed to the Granville Room.
On the event night please arrive half an hour before you are scheduled to start. Dinner will be served twice, at 4:30pm and 7:00pm. For those of you who are working straight through or have a scheduled break that falls after 7:30pm, we suggest arriving even earlier so that you can have a bite to eat before you begin your shift. A late night snack will also be served at 9:30pm.
Please wear all black. Comfortable shoes are a must as you will be on your feet for much of the evening.
Transit or carpooling is encouraged. If you will be driving, please self-park in the Parq’s underground parkade. Valet parking will not be reimbursed. Please keep your receipt and submit it to Alex Rios following the event.
There will be someone in the Volunteer Room at all times, so valuables will be safe.
Volunteers are not permitted to drink alcohol at the Gift of Time.

We are doing our best to accommodate everyone’s preferences and will do our best to update you on any new changes that may affect you.
