Envision Financial Gives Back with Books for Kids at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice – Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD, BC – NOVEMBER 27, 2014 – On Thursday, November 27, Envision Financial kicked off the Envision Financial Family Library at Canuck Place Children’s Hospital’s second provincial location in Abbotsford. Canuck Place staff and volunteers, joined by a team from Envision Financial, helped shop for new books and resources at Chapters Langley to fill the shelves.

“We are so grateful to Envision Financial for their generosity in supporting Canuck Place children and families,” said Margaret McNeil, Canuck Place CEO. “The opportunity to bring joy, foster imagination and provide inspiration through quality books is truly priceless. We are excited to start building our family library in Abbotsford with classic children and young adult fiction by authors such as J.K. Rowling,Shel Silverstein and of course, Dr. Seuss.”

Partnerships with local business such as Envision Financial are critical to the care and support Canuck Place is able to provide to BC’s children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them.

Envision Financial donated $150,000 to support the expansion of Canuck Place into Abbotsford. The money will specifically help fund the construction of a family support library and nursing team lounge.

The one-hour event took place at Chapters Langley prior to regular store hours and provided Canuck Place Children’s Hospice over 175 books valued at $2,500 to be used in their Abbotsford location.
