Music Mondays
A weekly music therapy virtual group session where families can come together to share in the power of music.
Music Mondays is an ongoing virtual Music Therapy group that brings together families, friends, and music lovers from across BC and the Yukon. Every Monday, we gather to share the songs that inspire us, sing along to familiar tunes, and connect through the power of music. Whether you bring an instrument or simply your voice, this welcoming space is all about celebrating music and making joyful memories together. You can count on Music Monday to keep the harmony going throughout the year!

These sessions create a safe and joyful space where families can bond through singing, movement, rhythm, and simple instruments. Whether you’re tapping along to a beat, sharing a lullaby, or simply enjoying the sounds, this group invites families to participate in ways that feel meaningful for them. Teen Beat Collective
We are thrilled to launch a new 6-week music therapy group for teens at Canuck Place.
This supportive space is designed specifically for teens who may be struggling with feelings of isolation, navigating the grief of their illness, or feeling different from their peers. Through the power of music, this group offers a safe and uplifting environment to foster connection, encourage self-expression, and build community. Whether through songwriting, listening, or simply sharing experiences, participants will have the opportunity to explore their emotions in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to them. Throughout the six weeks, we will explore themes such as: Finding your voice, navigating emotions, overcoming feelings of isolation, music as a safe space, telling your story through song, reflection, and celebration. We invite your teens to join this unique group to find support, friendship, and creative expression through music.
** This group is best suited for teens who feel comfortable expressing themselves verbally and through music, whether through songwriting, discussion, or sharing their experiences with others. Spaces are limited—reach out today to see if this group is the right fit for your teen!**

Family Engagement at CPCH
Children and family are at the centre of the care provided at CPCH. We respond to the voices of our patients and families, and collaborate on improving care by working directly with families. Partnering with families and acknowledging their living and lived experiences are vital and valuable components to improving our program services. The vision for the framework is to ensure consistent, safe, and respectful engagement with children, youth, and families at CPCH, to fully represent the diverse perspectives and promote continual improvement of pediatric palliative care and services.
