Hearing From You: Reflect and Connect
Tell us what matters to you through conversation or art
Please note: These sessions are intended for kids and families living with serious illness, bereaved families, parents, grandparents, kids, teens, chosen family, and close supporters
At Canuck Place we strive to care for the whole person, supporting kids and families to embrace the fullness of life. This work is precious to us, and we want to be sure we’re doing our best work possible: supporting your family in the ways that are most meaningful to you.
We’d like to invite you to share with us about the things that matter to you and your family–through conversation or through expressive art.
We hope these conversations and activities will be an opportunity for reflection and connection.
Areas of exploration:
- Your values: What’s most important to you? What helps guide your decisions?
- Your sources of hope: What gives you purpose and makes life worth living, even in the most difficult times? (Knowing that the answer to this question may not always be clear)
- Your traditions: What are the ceremonies, practices, or beliefs that keep you grounded and connected?
- Your wishes for Canuck Place: What kind of community do you want to be a part of here?

Your hosts:
Dana Warburton, Family Engagement Advisor
Family Engagement Advisors serve as a bridge between clinical expertise and patient and parent/caregiver experience, helping to shape a system that is compassionate, responsive, and deeply informed by lived experience.
Cara Pryor, Spiritual Care Counsellor
Spiritual care practitioners support families to connect with their own sources of strength and wisdom during difficult times. We help create more human medical care by making space for patients and families to show up as their whole selves.
