Jenna was 8 years old when she started raising money for Canuck Place, selling homemade baked goods to raise funds to buy toys and gift cards.
Jenna was inspired by a boy at her school who received end-of-life care at Canuck Place. She saw first-hand what Canuck Place did for his family and knew she wanted to help.
Six years later, Jenna’s bake sale has only grown. She approaches Cloverdale grocery stores to donate ingredients and then embarks on a three week baking marathon with friends, her mom, and her grandmother. This year she was sold out well before December.
“I love doing my bake sale,” Jenna explained. “Canuck Place means a lot to me. Everything has been such an incredible life-changing experience. It warms my heart to know that through my bake sale, people are learning all about Canuck Place and how they can help change the lives of these children and their families.”
The Team Canuck Place all-star has raised over $14,000 for Canuck Place and was recently honoured through the Vancouver Canucks Dan Hamhuis “Hammer’s Hero” during a Canucks home game.
