Sophie Wesik is back for her third Canuck Place Adventure Race this September.
The young athlete loves anything that involves a challenge, including track, cross country, swimming, tennis, and soccer – All at only 10 years old!
Her favourite part of the race is the beautiful views while biking close to the beach.
She explains why she chose use her athletic nature to support Canuck Place.
“I decided to support Canuck Place and participate because I can’t think of a better cause then helping sick kids and their families. It’s important for kids to be involved because it feels good to work together and accomplish something that helps others.”
Sophie’s parents, Paula and David are also long-time supporters of Canuck Place. Paula serves on the Canuck Place Gift of Time Gala committee, while David has provided years of corporate support through Wesgroup Properties as Vice President, Operations & Corporate Development.
Sophie will be joined on the course with little brother, Theo, continuing the family spirit of resilience and giving back.
“Having an adventurous heart means trying things that are hard,” says Sophie. “It helps me to be strong and persevere even when things are challenging.”
Share the values of strength and giving back. Sign your kids up to join Sophie on the kids course at the Canuck Place Adventure Race.
